本作品是一場將美術館轉化為「生物與知識交叉感染」的現場展演實驗。延續 科學研究人員/藝術家 林楷育 對身體邊界的解構,將微生物顯微鏡下的非人類動能(Agency),透過物理向量轉譯為舞者的肉身編舞。在這裡,微生物影像轉而具備「侵入性」的資訊干擾,使人類身體在微觀尺度的觀測下,崩解為一系列與異種共生的雜交動態。
表演作為社會干預的觀點,本計畫挑戰了當代知識政治中「純淨」的假象。藉由藝術與科學的「互擾」,身體被解析為一系列物理向量與生物編碼。這不只是一場跨界協作,更是一次認識論的挑釁:當身體被微生物「污染」而顯現出「未竟」的狀態時,我們才得以看見那種超越人類中心主義、充滿張力的生命類緣。
This work transforms the gallery space into a live site for the "cross-infection" of biological matter and epistemic systems. Drawing from Kai-Yu Lin’s deconstruction of somatic boundaries, the project translates non-human agency—captured via microbial microscopy—into physical choreography through the lens of physics vectors. Here, microscopic imagery functions as an "invasive" informational interference, causing the human body to dissolve into a series of hybrid dynamics symbiosing with the "Other" under the gaze of micro-scale observation.
Rooted in the perspective of performance as social intervention, this project challenges the illusion of "purity" within contemporary knowledge politics. Through the mutual disturbance of Art and Science, the body is decoded into physical vectors and biological ciphers. This is more than a cross-disciplinary collaboration; it is an epistemological provocation. When the body is "contaminated" by microbes and revealed in its "unfinished" state, we begin to perceive a high-tension kinship of life that transcends anthropocentrism.

Looking back at the history of science, the discovery of the antibiotic penicillin was, in fact, the result of an experimental contamination.
When we speak of contamination, we may think of plastic micro-particles, viruses, or space debris. At the same time, contamination also signifies a disturbance of boundaries, or the infiltration, staining, and hybridization between two entities. Such interactions may appear negative, yet they also represent opportunities for transformation. Art & Science Collaboration functions in a similar way: seemingly disruptive to each other’s methodologies, yet capable of merging into entirely new possibilities.
This exhibition is divided into two main sections. On the first floor of the Gallery, visitors will encounter the diversity of Art & Science Collaboration within international academic and research institutions, offering an introduction to the hybrid exhibition model of the “Science Art Exhibition,” which carries both artistic and scientific value. The second floor focuses on the theme of “Contamination.” Alongside international contemporary artworks from Europe and Southeast Asia that engage with the notion of contamination, the exhibition also presents collaborative outcomes from research projects.
In Taiwan today, collaborations between art and science remain relatively rare. Do we truly need such an exhibition model? If so, what strategies should we adopt to build sustainable systems and foster international exchange? This exhibition invites audiences to reflect, to question, and to spark new dialogues together.

本團隊核心成員皆為跨領域背景,包含:生命科學/博物館學/當代藝術策展、牙醫學/推測設計/生物藝術、藥學/科學傳播、藝術管理與行政等。我們相信「科學」與「藝術」的合作有助於雙方領域的發展與突破,也是解決當代問題、促進人類福祉(well-being)的關鍵。
Located in Taiwan, Coevolution Research Assembly – The core members of the team have interdisciplinary backgrounds, including: life sciences/museology /contemporary art-curation, dentistry/speculative-design/bioart, harmacy/science communication, arts management and administration, etc. They believe that the cooperation between "science" and "art" is conducive to the development and breakthrough of both fields. Therefore, they hope to create a platform for "science" and "art" cooperation in Taiwan, through matching scientists and artists, planning exhibitions or commissioned productions, establishing open call programs or related awards, conducting academic research and publishing, writing reviews, etc. In this way, gradually establish relationships with local science/artists, communities and institutions around the world.
